TerraScan 024.018 introduces the Classify Noise tool to the Model Toolbox, streamlining manual noise point classification. This tool classifies points that deviate from the average elevation, fitted plane, or fitted curved surface of the selected points.

Classify Noise is intuitive to use: the Section View automatically updates to the targeted area, allowing you to inspect points and confirm classification with a single click. The tool works for points above and/or below the surface, with options to classify a set number of points or use a threshold distance.

For example, low ground points can be efficiently classified as noise without the need for precise aiming, saving time and effort.

The Until tolerance setting allows classification of noise points based on their distance to the average elevation, fitted plane, or fitted curved surface.
