TerraScan 024.020 introduces the Distance + intensity coloring option for exporting raster images. This coloring option in conjunction with the Compute Distance tool provides an easy way to produce for example, Swath Separation Images. These images visualize the elevation mismatch between scan strips in areas where the strips overlap. Although the USGS Lidar Base Specification provide one standard for producing these images, the usefulness of the visualization is dependent on the specifics of your project.

The figure below shows examples of Swath Separation Images produced based on the USGS specifications for QL0 data.
